AGM AND PRESENTATION EVENING
HELD AT WILDEN VILLAGECRICKET CLUB
APOLOGIES TONY WRENCH AND WATERFRONT
CHAIRMAN WELCOMED ALL REPRESENTATIVES AND GUESTS INCLUDING ELLIOT WILSON WCCC ACADEMY COACH
THERE WAS AN EXCELLENT TURN OUT OF 48 TO ENJOY THE EVENING WHICH INCLUDED THE USUAL DRINKS TOKENS AND BUFFET
THE CHAIRMAN’S ADDRESS RAISED THE DIFFICULTIES OF THE PAST SEASON WHICH INCLUDED THE LEAGUE RESTRUCTURE, LATE TEAM WITHDRAWAL AND CERTAIN DISCIPLINARY MATTERS. THE POSITIVES REFLECTED ON A FULL LEAGUE AND CUP PROGRAMME FEATURING A WIDE DISPERSAL OF HONOURS. HOWEVER, THE INTER LEAGUE MATCH AND THE FUND RAISER BECAME VICTIMS OF REORAGANISED MATCHES. IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT THE FUTURE MAY HOLD EVEN GREATER CHALLENGES. ONE FURTHER POSITIVE WAS THE PROPOSED SETTING UP OF A SPRING INDOOR EVENT.
THERE WAS A PERIOD OF APPLAUSE SET ASIDE FOR THE COOKLEY PLAYER, ANDY GOROLL, WHO SADLY PASSED AWAY DURING THE SEASON
THE FINANCIAL REPORT WAS PREPARED BY GEOFF GILBERT REFLECTING THE FORMAT OF PREVIOUS YEARS WHICH SHOW A SLIGHTLY BETTER FIGURES THAN THE PREVIOUS YEAR. THEY WERE PROPOSED BY CHRIS PARKES AND SECONDED BY ROB NUTLAND AND ACCEPTED UNANIMOUSLY
