Steve Brigdale and Jon Preston opened the batting for Gas. Scoring was steady despite Jon Preston being out in 3rd over and reached 72 in the eighth over when Steve Brigdale was out for 22 including 5 well struck fours especially through the covers. By the start of the Alveley innings the weather had turned decidedly chilly with a strong breeze. This did not deter the Alveley openers, Jamie Lawrence and Luke Brant, who settled the match with a stand of 83 in seven overs. Jamie hitting two sixes and a couple of fours in his 40 whilst Luke also include a six in his innings of 35. Alveley comfortably reached their target in the tenth over for the loss of two wickets (114-2).
