PREAMBLE: These unusual times, this unusual date, this unusual setting, socially spaced over a field, seated on white plastic chairs with just one representative from each team.
But we have held our AGM, more than most have accomplished albeit that the trainer was called to Howard before the meeting commenced. True gentleman he is, standing aside for an attractive female to pass, he lacerated a finger on the door mechanism. What some people will do!
APOLOGIES: from STONE, ENVILLE, STOURPORT, QUATT
OTHER TEAMS NOT ATTENDING Bewdley GT W
PRESENT: The remaining teams were represented plus committee members Mark Hall (Chairman), Geoff Gilbert (Treasurer), recovering Howard (Umpires rep & Disciplinary Convenor) and Nic Harvey (Secretary).
THE CHAIR thanked each for their attendance and addressed a very unusual season. All teams were thanked for the positive cooperation in accommodating the emergency programme of fixtures even if the weather presented a further challenge. He applauded the teams for their observance of the covid-19 rules with concern that this may extend into 2021 season.
Howard has decided after 55 years as an umpire to retire. Appreciative applause rang out. [appreciation not relief!] All umpires were thanked for setting aside their shielding to serve the league in their natural role.

The teams stated that they thoroughly enjoyed this makeshift season and commended the committee for creating a phoenix season
FINANCES are very positive, with the lack of expenditure. The figures were distributed and approved without objection. It was unanimously agreed that the league fees paid in 2020 should be carried over into 2021 with only newly registered club paying the £85 fee. We would continue to seek the sponsorship for the coming season. Pink balls were now available @ £8 and as a league we would highly recommend their use.
RULES: Clubs rejected a proposal to award 2 runs for a wide and not re-bowl. They also supported keeping the wide rule as it exists (any ball down leg side). There were no other proposed changes.
The committee was re-elected en bloc.
